Ustad Rashid Khan is the youngest representative of a distinguished Rampur/Sahaswan Garana and a successor to Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Ustad Amir Khan. He is the great-grandson of the legendary Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan of Rampur, was groomed by his great-uncle Ustad Nissar Hussain Khan.

Rashid Khan has been hailed as the sensation of the modern era of Hindustani classical vocal music.
